Father Sahd was born in Columbia, PA and is a graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School and Bloomsburg University.
After teaching American History and World History at our deanery school, York Catholic Middle and High School, for 8 years, he was accepted as a seminarian for the Diocese of Harrisburg. He attended seminary at St. Vincent in Latrobe, PA and completed his studies for the Priesthood at the North American College in Rome, Italy.
His home parish is Holy Trinity in Columbia, PA.
In June 2014, Bishop Ronald W. Gainer ordained Father Sahd to the Priesthood with his first assignment being the Parochial Vicar of St. Joan of Arc, Hershey. He later was pastor of Saint Mark, Greencastle/Saint Luke, Mercersburg. Father comes to Saint Joe's parish from Saint Theresa Parish in New Cumberland.
Fr. Sahd has three brothers. his oldest brother Dan is married and has three children. Father’s other brothers, Chris and Tim are ordained priests. Chris was ordained for the Diocese of Scranton and Tim was ordained four years ago and is serving at Seven Sorrows Parish in Middletown.
