In order to maintain recommended social distancing, the seating capacity at each Mass will be limited.
Masks should be worn, but not when receiving the Eucharist.
Hand sanitizing stations are available. To help defray the cost to our parish and the difficulty in obtaining sanitizers, please bring your own to church.
The only entrance will be through the main doors from the rear parking lot into the lobby.
Once inside, an usher will assist you to the seating area. If you live in the same household you will be permitted to sit together.
Seating will be in alternating pews. Each pew designated for seating is marked with blue tape strategically placed to allow for social distancing.
Bulletins will be available as you enter church. They will have a designated section with Mass parts and other worship information as all hymnals have been removed from the pews.
Children must remain with their parents in the pews. For their safety and the health and safety of other parishioners, no one will be able to walk in the hallways once Mass has begun. If this is a difficulty, please use Options 2 or 3 below.
Clergy only wearing masks will distribute the hosts. Staggered points are marked on the floor to allow for social distancing. There will be three communion stations each covering two sections of pews. As an added precaution to contain spreading the virus, you are encouraged to receive communion on the hand. However, no one will be denied receiving the Eucharist on the tongue. For those who desire this method, please wait until all others have received in their hand.
OPTION 2: ATTENDING MASS OUTSIDE, ON THE LAWN, THE NARTHEX OR COURTYARD
Available when the church has reached maximum occupancy or for those that would rather attend Mass from outside the church.
You may either bring your own chair or stand but please maintain social distancing.
Distribution of Holy Communion: A member of the clergy will come outside to distribute the hosts. As an added precaution to contain spreading the virus, you are encouraged to receive communion on the hand. However, no one will be denied receiving the Eucharist on the tongue. For those who desire this method, please wait until all others have received in their hand.
OPTION 3: ATTENDING MASS FROM YOUR CAR IN THE PARKING LOT
Available when the church has reached maximum occupancy or for those that would rather attend Mass from your vehicle. There are 2 rows dedicated to those who prefer this option.
Please follow the designated traffic pattern and parking instructions of the attendant as you will need to pull out in an orderly fashion to receive communion.
Speakers are outside so you will be able to hear the Mass.
Distribution of Holy Communion: A priest or deacon will come outside—the main door to the left of the chapel when facing it—to distribute the hosts. Please pull your car up and a priest will come to your car to give you Communion. As an added precaution to contain spreading the virus, you are encouraged to receive communion on the hand. However, no one will be denied receiving the Eucharist on the tongue.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION TO NOTE:
The doors to the church will open 30-minutes prior to Mass.
Church access will be through the lobby doors.
Formal and informal gatherings before and after Mass are prohibited.
If you are sick, have respiratory illness symptoms, or if you’ve had recent contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, you are asked to refrain from entering the building or receiving the Eucharist until you are recovered, or until self-quarantine is completed (14 days after exposure).
We are asking to limit restroom use.
We are encouraging you to bring your own sanitizer. Due to high demand and scarcity, sanitizers are difficult to obtain and expensive to purchase.
Holy water fonts will remain empty. We do have bottles filled with holy water available. Please ask an usher for one.
Hymnals will not be used at this time. We will be including some parts of the Mass in the weekly bulletin.
Votive candles will be temporarily disallowed. You may place an envelope in the collection basket with the intention for the clergy or staff to light for you.
Altar servers, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are not assisting at Mass. One lector, one cantor and one organist are permitted.
There will be no offertory collection baskets passed out during Mass. However, there will be large baskets in the front of the sanctuary if you wish to make a donation in church. We are encouraging online giving through OSV or dropping your envelope in the drop box outside. We have been humbled by your generosity during this crisis and greatly appreciate your continued support.
After each Mass the entire church will need to be sanitized. If you are able to volunteer and are in good health, please sign up through sign-up genius posted on our website or through Facebook.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be offered on Saturdays from 2 PM-3:30 PM outdoors. We will have three stations: the courtyard and two in the Sanctuary of the church.
