HELPING HOMELESS IN YORK

Homelessness is not an illness or a crime but a harmful, dehumanizing, and yet curable situation. Are you interested in helping our homeless brothers and sisters in the York area move into housing? We are starting a chapter organization to help people who are homeless and get them off the streets — hence the name Off The Streets Ministry. Our goal will be to place them in an apartment they can call their own, thereby giving them back their God-given dignity. We need volunteers to run this organization. Interested? Come to a meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 13th at 7 PM in the St. Mary’s Parish Hall. There will be a presentation by the founder of Off The Streets Ministry as well as a member of the Columbia chapter.
