February 3rd is the feast day of St. Blaise. Though very little is known about his life, St. Blaise was the bishop of Sebaste in Armenia during the 4th century. He was reputed to have miraculously cured a little boy who nearly died because of a fishbone in his throat. From the 8th century onward, we have incorporated the blessing of throats. For those who desire, we will have the Blessing of Throats during daily Mass at 6:45 AM and 8 AM Monday, Feb. 3rd.
