The Capuchin Franciscan Friars of the Province of St. Augustine are withdrawing from their ministry at SJY. Their mission as Capuchin Franciscan Friars has always been to serve poor and immigrant communities. This decision is rooted in that mission. As of June 18, 2023, Fr. Steve, Fr. Rigo, and Fr. John Baptist will be transferred to different assignments. Bishop Ronald Gainer of the Diocese of Harrisburg will be assigning two diocesan priests to our parish. This change was promulgated by the Friars of the Province of St. Augustine, not the Diocese of Harrisburg.
