SCRIP Gift Cards Program

St. Joseph Church and St. Joseph School both participate in the RaiseRight SCRIP Gift Card Program. When you purchase physical (plastic) gift cards or electronic gift cards through this program, a percentage of the gift card value gets kicked back to the Church or School as a charitable donation from that company. (The kick-back percentage is determined by each participating company, anywhere between 2% and 10%.) Thousands of companies participate in this program. Your options are limitless!Also limitless are those who can participate by buying SCRIP through our SCRIP Program! Parents, Grandparents, Neighbors, even Fellow Parishioners! This is also a fabulous one-stop-shop for Christmas, Birthday, and Graduation gifts!Kick-backs can be designated to one of the following:
- St. Joseph School Tuition* (for a specific individual family, or for any family in need)
- St. Joseph Church Religious Ed Program Tuition* (for a specific individual family, or for any family in need)
- York Catholic Middle and High School Tuition*
- Any College or Trade School Tuition*
- St. Joseph Church - for any regular expense of the parish
To allocate which entity will benefit from your gift card purchases, simply complete a SCRIP Program Registration Form and submit it to the Parish or School Office.*Tuition scholarship payments are calculated and paid on an annual basis (only once a year) for the upcoming academic year, based on SCRIP purchases made May through April. (ie: SCRIP purchased anytime between May 2024 and April 2025 will be calculated and the scholarship payment will be sent to the school of your choice for the 2025-26 school year.)
*In order to participate in the tuition scholarship program, one family must be designated as recipient for a minimum of $1,000 in SCRIP purchases between May and April.

Orders must be received no later than 8:00 PM SUNDAY EVENING in order for them to be available for pick-up by the upcoming Friday. SCRIP gift card orders are placed by the Parish Office very early each Monday morning. Physical gift cards are then sent to the Parish Office, verified, activated, and sorted. Though some cards are available on the spot, most need to be ordered in advance. (Electronic gift cards may be available instantly. See below for more details.)At the Church
- Giant and Weis grocery/gas gift cards are available in the Parish Office during regular office hours, 8am-4pm Mon-Fri. Denominations: $10, $25, $50, $100. Cards can be purchased with cash, check (payable to St. Joseph SCRIP), or by credit card (if your card is on file - the Parish Office does not have credit card payment capabilities).
- On Friday Mornings from 8am-10am, parishioner volunteer, Dolores Kraus processes sales and orders for every company that participates in the SCRIP Program. Many local store gift cards are available on the spot. Others may need to be ordered. Dolores can be found on Friday mornings in the Conference Room in the church building, which is located just before the meeting rooms (down the hallway past the restrooms).

- Your Bank Account directly (on the secure website, you enter your bank's routing # and your account #) - THERE IS A RAISERIGHT CONVENIENCE FEE of $.29 per transaction; however, any electronic gift cards ordered are available immediately.
- Debit or Credit Card (on the secure website, you enter your own card information) - THERE IS A FEE FOR PAYING THIS WAY (1% for debit card; 3% for credit card)
- Pay Coordinator Directly (pay at the Church with cash, check, or credit card) - There are NO FEES when paying this way, but electronic gift cards will not be available until Monday morning and physical cards will not be available for pick-up until Friday.
