Every week we open our school gym to the adult public community to play bingo. Volunteers are needed to sell Bingo sheets and other small games of chance, sell concessions in the kitchen, set up and clean up.

The parish hosts a five night carnival every year in June. The carnival committee begins meeting in January to plan advertising, solicit commercial sponsorships, and determine booth layout and other operational logistics. Teams of volunteers help sort and count the weekly collection. Each team comes just one Monday a month to the parish office for about an hour. Nimble fingers, accuracy, and ability to follow direction are required.
A council of Catholic women seventeen years of age and older. The organization raises money for orphanages, seminarians, food pantries. Also offers assistance during crisis pregnancies. Female counterpart of the Knights of Columbus. For current events refer to the bulletin.
Our Homebound Ministry consists of bringing Jesus in the Eucharist to fellow parishioners living in their private homes, as well as all Catholic residents of four area nursing homes (Amoroso on Carol Rd, Autumn House on E Market St, Kingston Court Nursing & Rehab, and Pleasant Acres). The first step is to meet with the pastor who will endorse your eligibility to become an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion (EMHC). The next step will be to attend a diocesan EMHC training session. Training sessions are offered regularly throughout the diocese and often right here at St. Joe’s. EMHC’s must be at least in their senior year of high school, known for a good Catholic manner of living and for service to the parish and the community.

Volunteers assist the Parish Secretary by answering phones, greeting walk-ins, and assisting with Mass cards. Morning shift 8:00 AM-Noon; Afternoon shift Noon-4:00 PM. One day a week.
